Chapter 6-10 Summary

Chapter 6 is over a letter josh receives from his father.  This letter is how he is doing in the navy and how it going.  He says that nothing has happened yet but something will soon. In Chapter 7 Josh, Marcia, and Steenie go to the Las Fiestas del Corazon Sagrado.  Afterwards they walk out into the dessert and find a dead cow which they play the game "galling" with.  The game "galling" involves touching the dead cow while holding your breathe.  If you puke your a "galling."  Chapter 8 Steenie and Josh talk about Josh's dad and their new house guest Jimbob.  Josh mentions how Jimbob over stays his welcome in almost every place he visits.  Josh goes to school and notices Chango near a ditch.  Chango confronts Josh so then Josh pushed Chango into the ditch.  Chango then demands Tarzan to run after him.  To escape Tarzan, Josh ran through a gate of an unknown house.  He then hid behind a boulder until he was sure Chango and Tarzan were gone.  After he leaves his cover he looks into the window of a house were he see's an all natural woman posing on a table.  Then the owner of the house, Romeo, ask if he is a lover or art or a dirty little boy.  They talk into the night and realizes Romeo knows his father.  Chapter 9  Parker and Josh the next day set up dates with the Cloyd girls, even though the girls were just going to see the dark blue 1939 Plymouth sedan instead of the actual date. The boys' so called date was to the movies and to the fiesta. Chapter 10 is over the letters Josh receives, regarding how he is doing while he is gone and how everybody else is doing, from the Captain Bligh (his dad), Corky, Lacey, Paul, and Marcia.
